Hutt Valley Cook island youth


Last week on Saturday me my mum and my brother went to a hall in mangere with a Cook island dancing group so we can meat another Cook island dance group called Hutt Valley Cook island youth. When where in the hall we got to eat first then after the other group comes and eat after as. When they finished eating we get into a group and introduce our self to the hutt valley group.

The first person to stand up and introduce them self was my cousin Andy. She stalled up and said "hi my name is Andy I am 18 years old and I have two younger sisters and two younger brothers. Next up was my cousin Kimerly She said her name how old she was and how many brothers and sisters she had and introduce her dad and mother too.

After she finished introducing her self next it was her brothers turn Ben he said his name and how old he was and introduce his sisters and his brother too. Next it was my turn I stalld up and said hi my name is Mikaiah my brother is Simon and I am 11 years old and turning 12 in September the 26th and I said my mum is Tangata Hopini and my dad is Norman Hopini.

Next after introducing our self all the kids were allowed to play on the playground out side they had two play grounds so I went on the biggest park there and played tag with the other group. After playing tag we played ball rush tag on there court it was really fun playing with the other group because we got to know them better and become friends.

Next we left to go to GI to the Matariki celebration because we were dancing there so we had to get changed into our clothes to dance in. We didn't know that the hutt valley group were coming to watch as. when we were ready we waited for the drummers to give the signal for as to walk up and dance.

After waiting we herd the drums playing so we quickly got into lines and walked on the grass and started dancing. First it was all the boy and girls but for the next dance it was just the girls. Next when we finished dancing it was just the girls next after the girls finished dancing we did the last dance witch was all of as together. so we stalled in our lines and started dance.

When we finished every body that was at the Matariki counted down for the fireworks to explode in mid air. So every body started counting down 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 "BLASTOFF"!!! as we all screamed through the air. We started packing up when the fireworks were going. We stayed until the fireworks stop, when it stopped we went and said god bye to the other group and we all went home.

Point England School

"OOH MAN"I miss school already.To me Point England school is the best school I've ever none. I hope more and more children come to Point England school next term. My friends at Point England school are James, Paris, Kane and Neo. My best friend at of all of them is Neo because I've none him for four years and plus me and him like to make Skrillex beats and Dubstep too.

Point England school is the coolest school in Glen innes and Panmure. I like this school because it's a great school and many people over in Point England school is kind, Generous and helpful too. I can't wait until the 3rd term of the year.

Point England school is great at sports like Rugby, Touch, Soccer, Basketball, Volly and Netball. Many people at school are good at many things in class too like me. I am an artist and I can draw many things like Cars, Motorbikes, Letters, Block writing, and many other things too.

Point England school is so cool even WILL.I.AM came to our school. He came to Point England becouse he saw our blogging online, writing online and reading online too. He gave our school an 100.000.00 dollar check.

Cook island community


Hi My name is Mikaiah. I’m in a Cook Island community. We have been in part of parades and many many other things. For the past few weeks we have been learning cook island moves. Our last performance was at Glen innes at a parade it was so cool because I saw Uili, Henry and Hosanna. Uili was the best there Because they were singing and the first song they sang was I believe. After they sang a different song but I didn't know what it’s called.

We were next after them so we quickly got changed and rushed down. When we got there they just finished so we got into position. As we got into lines we all started walking and the drummers will drum. Then suddenly in my head I heard a huge noise I was so nervous and it is so freaky for me and other people in our group.

At some point in our dance theres a time when we do this thing could around the world. Around the world is traditional the for Cook islanders. Around the world is when you either pick someone from the audience or from your group then after you have to sit down with your partner in a half circle. Then next if your name is could out then you have to stand up in the middle and then dance in front of the audience.

Free blog writing in the holiday

In the holidays me and my sister and my two brother’s went to the Movies at Sylvia Park. When we went to pay for the Movie we didn't know what we were going to watch. We were going to watch The sapphires but when we went to the counter the person said that Pitch perfect was a cool movie to watch.

She said that it was a comedy so we all agreed on it. But before we went we bought for ice block’s passionfruit flavoured. Then we went to give the ticket to the man. Next we all went to stage 4 so we went up the step’s to our seats we were all the way on top on the lazy chairs.

It was so cool on top it had a better view plus just a press of a button you can activate the lazy chair. It was pretty cool at the movies first we eat the ice block’s then we eat some chip’s and we had a drink. It was a pretty funny movie and all I saw was popcorn every wear when the movie ended.
