Prize giving

“1, 2, 3” on Thursday the team 4 and 5 which are the years 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 had prize giving. First of all we had to sing the national anthem, second of all Mr Burt gave out some certificate for trying hard and the second certificate was for 100% attendance. The third thing was the year 4 and 5 performance.

There song that they performed were cool and one of there song is my favourite and it’s called I’ve got the magic. There dance was very very cool but I didn’t like the parts when they got on and of parts because it took too long but it was good.

when they finished they go off stage and Mr Burt said some great things about the dance. Next he called out some more certificates for the same things but for the year 6. at the end of prize giving we had to sing our school song and say the preer and go home. I had a good time at prize giving

Future Aspiration

Sitting down in class thinking to myself “UHMM” wonder what I’m going to be in the future. Am I going to be a Dancer a Singer wait a Architect. I would like to be an Architect because I'm a pretty good artist. My favourite subject is art.

Did you know that last week on Thursday all the years 7s & 8s had a talk to other people about their job or what they do in life.There were 5 speakers. My favourite speaker is a very very smart and intelligent person, he is the age of 12. I felt shocked when he told all of us that he’s going to University next year

In the weekend

In the weekend my brother and I had a water fight. First we turned on the hose and filled up some bottles with water. Next our next door neighbour asked if they were allowed to play with us.  We said “yes”. After we said yes they sprinted off to get changed.

When they came out I shouted “3,2,1 GO!!!” “SPLISH” “SPLASH” “SPLISH” “SPLASH”. All I heard was the water splashing my face. When all the bottles were empty I refilled it with some more water and splashed some water on my brothers face. After that I sat down for a while then my brother splashed me in the face with water.

My neighbour ran away and hid behind his shed. At first we couldn't find him but then I looked behind the shed I saw him on the ground. He didn’t see me so I splashed him in the face with water.

When we finished playing we had to pack the hose away and the bottles too. After I finished packing everything I went and had a hot shower.    

About Me

Hi My name is Mikaiah, My favorite hobby is drawing, I am a student at Pt England School. My favorite Activity at school is Sports. In My family I have four sisters, two brothers, three nieces, two Nephews and a mum  Which I think is a big Family.

I am a Cook islander from Rarotonga. Me and my brother is in a Cook island dancing group. My whole family is going to Rarotonga at the end of this year. I like my culture because there’s lots of interesting things in my life.

I have many friends and they are Nathan, Paris, Kane ,James and Neo.

Martin Luther King

In 1963 Martin Luther King had a speech it was called I have a dream. He had a dream to

help people go to the same school. Also that they can go on the same bus but they had to sit in the back of the bus and if the bus was full one of the black people have to give up their spot. There were more black people that were poor and lived in poverty, but lots of the white people lived in prosperity.   

Martin Luther Kings first job was being a lawyer, Next his other job was being a minister. But he was most famous for fighting for equality for the blacks. Did you know that when he was signing books he was stabbed on the back? He went to jail for a short time. He went to jail because tax and traffic offences, they tried to find something what he did wrong so he can go jail. Did you also know that his house was filled with C4 and got destroyed. He got assassinated.

In a america there were less black people and more white people back then. Martin Luther King was fighting for equality between white people and black people. The black people could vote but they made it really difficult for them. Martin Luther King would be happy if he was here right now, because of Barack Obama being the president of the U.S.A.

Martin Luther King made the most wonderful speech in America. His speech inspired many many people around the country. His speech was about bringing peace between Black and White people, also making everything equal. He wanted the black people and white to set together in the bus and go together in the same school.

Point England School

"OOH MAN"I miss school already.To me Point England school is the best school I've ever none. I hope more and more children come to Point England school next term. My friends at Point England school are James, Paris, Kane and Neo. My best friend at of all of them is Neo because I've none him for four years and plus me and him like to make Skrillex beats and Dubstep too.

Point England school is the coolest school in Glen innes and Panmure. I like this school because it's a great school and many people over in Point England school is kind, Generous and helpful too. I can't wait until the 3rd term of the year.

Point England school is great at sports like Rugby, Touch, Soccer, Basketball, Volly and Netball. Many people at school are good at many things in class too like me. I am an artist and I can draw many things like Cars, Motorbikes, Letters, Block writing, and many other things too.

Point England school is so cool even WILL.I.AM came to our school. He came to Point England becouse he saw our blogging online, writing online and reading online too. He gave our school an 100.000.00 dollar check.

Camping with my friends

 One Day me and my three friends Paris, James and Kane went out camping. We all had to find all our gear and meet at James’s house. We left camping on Tuesday. We were all very excited about going on this trip. We had to have at least one or two adults with us just for safety.

By the time we reached the gate to go through the forest we all were puffed out. So as we were walking through the forest we were excited and scared at the same time. We were scared because there was this scary noise whistling through the trees.

When we were walking in the forest we heard a stick snap into two pieces. So we turned around and looked at what was there and we slowly went and hid through the trees and waited for someone or something to walk past.

We waited for about seven minutes and then suddenly there was a weird looking animal that had six legs and for eyes and it looks almost like an eight feet tall animal. We were really really scared because the animal looks very ferocious.

We waited and waited and waited until the cretcher walked away. It stayed for about five minutes until it walked away. When it was walking away Paris stood up and snapped stick the animal turned around and we all started running and it was chasing us we were screaming loud and know one herd us.

It was really really scary and when we got to the gate I closed it as fast as I could and it stop because of the gate. We were very freaked out and scared. so we all walked home and we would never walk into the forest again.          

Sam Thaiday

Hi did you know That Sam Thaiday was born in June 12 1985. He plays for the Broncos in NRL. His weight is 110 kg and hi is 181 cm tall. He plays in a junior club called Townsville Brothers.

The Broncos captain is one of the most powerful ball - runners in the game, with his fearless charges a constant threat to opposition defences. While he is an inspiration to his teammates on field, the Maroons and Kangaroos forward is just as respected for his community work, especially in supporting Indigenous issues.

Kids fun day

Hi last week on Saturday my church had a kids fun day. First we went to tenpin bowling in Panmure. me and my family had to set up all the activities that we were doing. One of them was playing in the arcade. Everybody in the church got to get six tokens to play on any game they wanted too.

After, the next activity we did was bowling we had heaps and heaps of fun bowling. on my first go I hit down eight tens. Then on my second go I got one down when I was supposed to get both of them down but I missed one.

Next we went back to playing in the arcade and we got some more tokens. There was this one game that was really fun but I did not know what was the name for it. Well it was a boxing game that is really fun first you had to insert a token and pull down the boxing bag and hit it as hard as you can and see how much points you get.

When we were still playing in the arcade we got called out that we have another turn of bowling. we were all very shocked and very excited about it. I had to wait because there were two people in front of me. When it was my turn I stood up and tried to find the light’s bowling ball and went for my turn and I just got nine pines down. Than next on my second go I got a spare.

Argument about lollies

Children should eat lollies...	Children should not eat lollies...
1. They love lollies	1. Lollies rot their teeth
2. They taste sweet	2. They could get sick
3. They can be happy	3. They could end up with diabetes
4. Lollies are very cheap	4. They could get too fat
5. They are colourful	5. It has too much sugar and makes kids hyper

Children should not eat lollies:

• Paragraphe 1

Children should not eat lollies because children can get rotten teeth. If you eat too much lollies than that means you could have not much teeth when your older. Also your teeth might break when you eat solid types of food like chocolate, Cookies and lollipops.

• Paragraphe 2

If you eat too much lollies you could get sick. When you're sick that would mean that you need to go to the doctors which I hate. When you're sick you can actually catch many many diseases.

• Paragraphe 3

It is really really sad If you eat way too much sugar because most people can actually get diabetes from heaps of lollies and sugar. Getting diabetes can make you sick also you will need to go to the hospital too. Diabete is so so bad for your body.

• Paragraphe 4  

When sugar enters your body it turns into fat and you can actually get really really fat from sugar. Many people can get obese from heaps and heaps of sugar as you already know that sugar turns into fat well you could die from obesity.

• Paragraphe 5

If your children eat way too much sugar they could get hypo. It is really hard trying to get your kids together when they are hypo. Kids are really difficult when they are hypo. I just hate giving heaps of sugar to kids they don’t listen to you when you tell them what to do.

Hi my names Mikaiah what's your favorite celebrity?. My favorite celebrity is Bruno Mars.To me his song are very catchy will most of his songs are. Do you think they are? the songs that I like is Count on me, Dream taker, Billionaire, Grenade, Marry you and The Lazy song. What is your favorite songs that Bruno Mars sings.

My second celebrity is J.T which stands for Justin Timber lake. His songs are very cool. Most of his songs I like is Chop me up, Cry me a river, Lets take a ride, Like I love you and Until the end of time. What’s your favorite songs? My favorite song out of all that are on a list is Until the end of time.

  

Pt England student

Hi my name Mikaiah I am a student at Pt England school. Every day I get up early in the morning have a shower, have breakfast and make my lunch. After I have to stop and wait for my little brother. Bye the time he woke up I've already started walking. When I got to school the first bell rang so I quickly ran to my classroom.

when I got into class I put my chair down and hanged up my bag. Next I got my Net book out of the cabbed and started my day on my Google docs. The first thing we do on Google docs is that we wright all different type of paragraphs, stories and more things too.

Next after writing the bell rings and the class get their lunch out for interval. Interval is about having a break from school work. During interval me and my friends play tag after interval we always come back to class and get ready for sports.

Sometimes we play games like ball tiggy, ball rush tag and touch. Sometimes we do drills, laps around the field. When we finished our sports time we go back to class and do maths. Then for a while the bell rings for lunch time so we go.

After lunch we finished off all the things we've been doing like our Cyber Smart project, animations and art. When we are finished we go on to Study ladder. Then when you're finished you will just have to put up your chair and get you things ready so the bell can ring for home time. When the bell rang every student left to go home and the was the end of the school.

Cook Island group

Hi my name is Mikaiah this term my school is having a Fia fia performance. There are many other cultural dances like Noain dancing, Hip hop, Cook island dancing and many more. If you were a student at Pt England school what kind of dance you’ll pick ?. Well i’m in Cook island dance group and my little brother is in the  Cook island drumming group I think he’s drumming for us to dance too.

It’s going to be fun going to all the dance practice’s the school has practice on Thursday and Friday’s. During practice’s you will need to be well hydrated and wearing the right clothes to practice in. For the girl’s they need to bring their own Lava lava and for the boy’s we have to bring a white T-shirt and a pair of shorts. When you're practicing you need to remember etch step one bye one as you keep learning you will get really good to dancing better and faster and that’s how to learn and to dance.

Family and friends

Hi my name is Mikaiah at school I have about five friends there name is Paris, Uili, Levi, James and Nathan. When i’m at school I play with them at morning tea and lunch time my favourite two is Uili and James. One game that we play is tagg of course you have played that I think.

Anyway in my family I have for sisters and two brothers. One of my sister has two kids and one baby my other sister has one baby. My other sister doesn't  have any kids her husband is at Tonga. I only have a mum because my dad died last year in August .

We buried him at Rarotonga next to my grandfather or his dad. It was cool flying to Rarotonga because on the plane there are screens at the back of every chair. there's a headphone for you to listen to songs and you can watch movies and play games too it is really cool.

When we had to bury him we had to cut our hair because it was long. When all the funeral’s whirr finished we fly back over to New zealand.

My superhero

Hi my name is Mikaiah my favourite superhero is Super man. His cool powers are flying, shooting laser out of his eyes, he can lift up almost anything and he can blow like a tornado coming toward you. The Person i've only seen him fighting was Goku super saiyan. One move I seen them do together was that Goku was doing his kame kame ha and super man was making his laser coming out of his eyes. As soon as both of them reached each other they created a big huge ball in front of them.

When they whirr still fighting superman's laser was pushing harder than Goku’s kame kame ha. Then later suddenly Goku’s kame kame ha was pushing and pushing then a minute later the hole place exploded with a huge bang. Then Goku and superman got up as fast as they can and quickly got in there move but Goku’s move was a spirit  bomb and superman’s move was that he blows as hard as he could but Goku’s move was stronger than superman’s.

Suddenly goku’s spirit  bomb was so strong that superman flow far far away that goku had to fly to him. Bye the time goku got to him superman hi crashed

into a mountain and fell down and  was so weak that he could not stand up so Goku won the fight and superman lost I was really looking forward for superman to win.
